BOOKING YOUR RESERVATION: The booking guest must be at least 25 years of age. A Rental Agreement with Mountains Away, a sample of which is available, must be digitally signed and returned to us within 2 days of booking. As part of the agreement, we also require a copy of the signer's government-issued ID and a list of all guests with their ages. Each booking includes our own Accidental Damage coverage, so no need to buy your own.There will be a refundable security deposit of $500 to cover any non-accidental damages or costs. This is done as a "HOLD" on the credit card and is initiated a few days before your arrival. It is released after your departure and our team's inspection.

CHECK-IN/OUT: Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out at 10:00 AM. We do not allow check-ins or check-outs on holidays. While we try to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests, we do not offer early check-ins or late departures. This is to allow our cleaning crew ample time to make sure your cabin is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after your stay. However, depending on our schedule, we may be able to extend extra check-in/out time at $50 per additional hour. Please message us beforehand to inquire.

SECURITY CAMERAS: There are security cameras located at the front entrance and rear deck for protection. Please do not touch or tamper with the cameras.

SMOKING: This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin.

PETS: Pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire and provide pet information prior to booking.

CRITTERS: We have a regular pest control company that maintains the grounds, but remember, you are in the mountains so it is not uncommon to see insects, critters and other wildlife. There is a good chance you'll see black bears in the area even if you never go into the woods.

HOT TUB: Our hot tub is meant for adults (25 years and older) to enjoy. For your safety, alcohol and glass are not allowed near the hot tub. The mountain air and relaxing soak should be more than enough to help you unwind after a day of traveling or exploring.

OUTDOOR GRILL: Located on the upper deck, this grill uses gas and functions on a timer for safety purposes. Once you turn on the igniter, it will not be obvious that it is on until it heats up so please use caution. It's not worth losing an eyebrow!

FIRE PIT: We don't provide wood for the fire pit but that doesn't mean you should try to be a lumberjack. Please do not cut down our trees or break off branches. Save that burly energy and plan to bring or buy your own fire wood. Many locations in the area sell bundles.

SERVICE COVERAGE: High speed internet (and WiFi calling) is available at the property, however, cellular and data service may be limited in the surrounding area. You are in the mountains, after all! We encourage getting into Gatlinburg first and then using your GPS to get to our cabin. You can also download the offline version of your GPS app as a navigation backup.

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

We love to travel and we first visited the Great Smoky Mountains during the Fall Season, just as the leaves where changing colors. Like many, we were instantly captivated by the allure of the mountains and found ourselves coming back to the area several times a year. Since Tennessee was becoming a second home to us Texans, we decided to make it official and the "Mountains Away" brand was born.
